(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Collingwood man with impaired driving offences as a result of a collision on Hwy. 10 at 60 Sideroad in the Township of Chatsworth on January 6, 2017.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017, Grey County OPP received a report of a vehicle collision between a 1998 GMC Sierra pick-up truck and a 1996 Toyota car at the intersection of Hwy. 10 and 60 Sideroad in Berkeley.

The investigation revealed the northbound GMC pick-up truck was stopped on Hwy. 10 then proceeded to make a left turn into the path of the southbound Toyota.

The driver of the pick-up truck, who had been drinking alcohol and showed signs of impairment, was arrested for impaired driving.  He was not injured.

The occupants of the Toyota, a 57-year old male driver and a 55-year old female passenger, both of the Municipality of Grey Highlands, were transported via ambulance to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

31-year old Bradley WARK, of Collingwood, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm; Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Over 80 mg; Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm; Operate Motor Vehicle – Permit Not Valid; and Operate a Motor Vehicle with No Insurance.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on January 26, 2017.
