The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an Aggravated Assault investigation.

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at approximately 11:10 a.m., police responded to a call for a Theft at the Home Depot at 1983 Kipling Avenue.

It is reported that:

  • a man and woman entered the Home Depot and took a quantity of merchandise without paying
  • a store security officer followed the man and woman to the parking lot and attempted to arrest them
  • there was a physical altercation between the store security officer and the man and woman
  • the man and woman got into a vehicle
  • the store security officer tried to stop them
  • the store security officer was thrown from the moving vehicle and suffered serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries
  • the man and woman fled the area in a silver Chrysler Town and Country mini-van.

The man is described as approximately 45, 5’6″, medium build, wearing a beige baseball hat, white short-sleeve shirt and beige pants.

The woman is described as approximately 45, 5’5″, medium build, wearing a white baseball hat and black dress.
