(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment is investigating an incident at a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, December 30, 2016, at approximately 1:51 p.m., an unknown male entered the alleyway behind the J Daniels Optical Store and proceeded to damage a window on a parked motor vehicle. The owner of the vehicle returned and confronted the male, who then displayed an edged weapon.

The suspect then ran from the alleyway and was last seen running westbound towards Kent Street. While running from the area the male pulled a camouflage neck warmer over his face.

The owner of the vehicle was not physically injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as a male, slim build, approximately 5’10. He was described as wearing a grey/white camouflaged jacket with pants or tan coloured jacket and pants.

The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident or if they can identify the person, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
