(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 37-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

The investigation commenced Friday, November 11, 2016. Through the course of the investigation, it has been determined that between 2002 and 2013, multiple alleged sexually related offences against minors took place in various locations in Norfolk County and Niagara Falls.

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged 37-year-old Joseph Alan ANDERSON of Mattawa, Ontario with the following offences:

  • Sexual Assault of a person under 16 years of age X7
  • Sexual Interference of a person under 16 years of age X7
  • Invitation to sexual touching of a person under 16 years of age X6
  • Indecent Act on a person under 16 years of age

The accused is described as male, 6’1, 190lbs, thin build with grey hair and brown coloured eyes.

On Monday, January 9, 2017, the accused was arrested and charged with two (2) counts of sexual assault of a person under 16 years of age and two (2) counts of sexual interference of a person under 16 years of age.

The investigation is ongoing, and police would like to speak with anyone who has information related to the investigation. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
