London Police appeal for victims after man appears on video to touch numerous females inappropriately


On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, the London Police Service issued a media release in relation to an investigation of sexual assault which occurred on a London Transit Commission (LTC) bus on Friday, April 28, 2017.

As a result of this investigation, Gregory Botting (42) of London has been charged with one count of sexual assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada.  His next court date is May 15, 2017.

Investigators have, and continue to review video provided by the LTC. Botting boarded the 17A bus in Byron just before 7:00 a.m. and rode it for approximately two hours. The video shows what appears to be numerous other instances of inappropriate touching on female passengers. A portion of the video has been attached in order to provide potential victims or witnesses with footage of Botting as he appeared on the bus April 28.

Investigators in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section are encouraging any potential witnesses or victims who rode this bus on Friday, April 28th between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to contact of the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
