Missing teen Josiah Begg’s mother reaches out to son with video plea


Josiah Begg’s mother, Sunshine Winter, is attempting to reach out to her son who has been missing since May 6, 2017.  The Thunder Bay Police Service has produced a video on behalf of Josiah’s family.

Josiah Begg’s immediate family does not wish to speak with the news media at this time.  We ask that journalists respect their privacy.  Please share and use this video produced by the TBPS to help reach Josiah or anyone who has information that will help in his return to his family.

Thunder Bay Police are continuing efforts to locate a missing 14-year-old boy Josiah Begg. Josiah was last seen on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at approximately 10:00 p.m. near the Vale Community Centre.

Today the TBPS is conducting a ground search in the Northwood area. Police are also working with concerned community members to locate Josiah.

Josiah is described as:
· Indigenous male
· 5’5″‘ – 120lbs
· brown short hair and brown eyes.
· last seen wearing a red baseball cap, red hoody and grey/white sweat pants.
