(ORILLIA, ON) – On Tuesday May 23, 2017 members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Orillia Community Street Crime Unit (SCU) in conjunction with Central Region Emergency Response (ERT) and Central Region Canine Unit (K9) executed a Controlled Drugs and substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a Gill Street Residence within the City of Orillia.
On May 23, 2017 at approximately 03:00 p.m. the Orillia Community Street Crime Unit and Orillia OPP members conducted a traffic stop within the City of Orillia. As a result of that traffic stop a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant was applied for and executed at a Gill Street residence in The City of Orillia. As a result of the CDSA warrant police located cocaine and paraphernalia associated to trafficking in a controlled substance.
Police have charged 38 year old Tania ROSE of Orillia with Trafficking in a Schedule I substance contrary to Section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused has been released on a Promise to Appear for June 20, 2017 in an Orillia area Court of Justice.
