Peterborough Police looking to identify suspects following possible hit and run collision

The Peterborough Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects following a possible hit and run motor vehicle collision.

On May 28, 2017 at approximately 10 p.m. police were dispatched to the area of Prince and Aylmer Streets for a motor vehicle collision.

It was reported that a car had struck another vehicle then fled the scene. The male driver of the vehicle struck was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

A short time later officers located the suspect vehicle abandoned on Haggart Street.

Police then received a report from the complainant that the abandoned vehicle had been stolen from the area of George and Lake Streets earlier that same night.

The investigation is continuing and police are seeking to identify the occupant(s) who were in the stolen vehicle at the time of the collision.
