8-year-old girl struck by vehicle in Leamington

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – On June 22, 2017, at approximately 5:50 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Leamington Fire Services responded to a motor vehicle-pedestrian collision on Erie Street South near Mill Street, Leamington, Ontario.

An 8-year-old girl was struck by a motor vehicle and was subsequently transported by EMS to an area hospital suffering serious injuries.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene and the investigation is continuing.

Erie Street South between Mill Street and Russell Street was closed for approximately 3 hours but has now been reopened.
