89-year-old man is dead and his 89-year-old wife is in hospital with stab wounds after altercation

An 89-year-old male is deceased and his 89-year-old wife stabbed, during an altercation in Whitby.

On Thursday, June 29, 2017, at approximately 05:45 a.m., police responded to an ambulance call at a senior’s residence on Anderson Street and Taunton Road in Whitby. Police located the female victim with stab wounds, and her husband an 89-year-old male, deceased.

The female victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances, this is an isolated incident and at this point, they don’t believe there is any foul play involved.
