Couple face numerous charges after robbery and break-ins in Durham Region

A 43-year-old male and 43-year-old female face numerous charges after a robbery, two break-ins and other incidents in Durham Region.

On Monday, June 26, 2017, at approximately 7:00 p.m., an 84-year-old male reported to police that he was robbed of his wallet while at his Oshawa apartment by a male and female suspect. The suspects fled on foot and the victim received minor injuries.

It is believed these same suspects are responsible for two break-ins, one on Cordova Road in Oshawa and another on Holt Road in Bowmanville that occurred on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. The suspects also committed a theft on June 28, 2017 and face transportation fraud as they used a taxi as their getaway.

Aaron BEAUMONT, age 43 of no fixed address, is charged with: Transportation Fraud x2; Fail To Comply With Recognizance x3; Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence x2; Possession of Property under $5,000 x2; Use of Credit Card; Fraud under $5,000; Robbery and Theft under $5,000 x2. He was held for a bail hearing.

Catherine DOBBS, age 43, of no fixed address, is charged with: Transportation Fraud x2; Fail To Comply With Recognizance x3; Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence x2; Possession of Property under $5,000 x2; Use of Credit Card; Fraud under $5,000; Robbery and Theft under $5,000.She was held for a bail hearing.
