(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a fatal single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that occurred at Highway 3, Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 5:04 p.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County paramedics responded to Highway 3 near Crown Road for a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle where it was reported the motorcycle driver was unresponsive.
OPP investigation, thus far, has determined a motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Highway 3 near Crown Road when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway and collided with the ditch on the south side of the roadway.
The 56-year-old male driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital by paramedics with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The male’s name is not being released at this time.
OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) is assisting with the investigation.
Highway 3 is closed between Hutchinson Road and Crown Road while investigators are on scene.
