OPP investigating $12,000 theft from pickup truck in Petrolia


(LAMBTON, ON) – On Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at just before 7:00 a.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a theft from motor vehicle in the 4000 block of Hawthorne Place, Town of Petrolia.

OPP attended the location and was informed by the victim that at some time overnight, unknown person(s) gained entry into a pickup truck that was parked in a private laneway and stole a large quantity of tools. The items reported stolen include tool boxes, various hand tools and electronic devices. The value of the stolen property is estimated to be just under $12,000. No suspects have been identified at this time and the OPP is continuing with its Investigation.
