Peterborough woman charged with assault & mischief following road rage incident

A Peterborough woman has been charged with assault and mischief following a late May road rage incident.

On May 26, 2017, two females became involved in an argument while at the intersection of Chamberlain Street and Monaghan Road. During the incident, both women exited their vehicles and continued the argument on the street.

During the argument, it was reported that the accused assaulted the victim, a woman in her 20’s, and then broke the victim’s glasses.

The incident was reported to police and as a result of the investigation, the accused was identified. Police made contact with the accused who attended the Peterborough Police Station on June 21, 2017, where she was placed under arrest.

Nicole Margaret Menard, 35, of Albert Street, is charged with assault and mischief under $5,000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 20, 2017.
