UPDATE: North Bay man faces more charges of sexual assault


This is an update to a media release the North Bay Police Service issued on 28 June 2017.

On the 29th June 2017, Boucher was charged with an additional two counts of Sexual Assault, one count of choking and two counts of Breach of Probation involving unrelated incidents dating back to 2016. Police believe that there may be other victims in the community. Boucher, pictured, is known to frequent local licenced establishments. The accused is currently in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing today.

Yesterday, following a sexual assault investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged 20-year old James Larry Boucher of North Bay with one count of sexual assault in relation to an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 24th, 2017.

Boucher was at a local licensed establishment where he came into contact with the female victim. It is alleged that he sexually assaulted her shortly after they left the establishment.

The accused was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing today.
