Arrest warrant issued for Max Hody after new evidence received in 2014 violent robbery


(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in relation to a 2014 robbery and an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect.

On August 29, 2014, the victim was with several friends outside a fast food restaurant situated along the 2900 block of Robertson Road. The victim was approached by a male suspect who demanded the victim’s cellular phone. The victim was then stabbed twice, receiving non-life threatening injuries to his abdomen and leg. The victim was treated and released.

New evidence was recently received that led to charges now being laid against Max HODY, age 23 of Ottawa. HODY is charged with the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Possession of a weapon

HODY’s current whereabouts are unknown and an arrest warrant has been issued in relation to these charges. He is described as being a Caucasian male, thin build, 5’8” (173cm), 160 lbs (73kg), hazel eyes, and light brown hair (view picture.)
