On Thursday July 27, 2017 at around 8:30 a citizen called police to report a male causing a disturbance on Port Street and on Superior Street. Investigation revealed that the accused had exited a home on Port Street with a female friend and were walking down the street.
Witnesses observed the accused yelling and calling the woman names. Two neighbours on Port Street had been talking to one another on their front lawn when the accused walked past their homes swearing at the woman walking with him. The accused then turned his attention towards one of the female neighbours and threatened to punch her in the face. The accused continued on and punched a street sign and continued on Superior Street towards Eagle Avenue. The accused continued to yell and attract the attention of other citizens. The accused then kicked a vehicle which had been parked in a driveway on Superior Street. The kick caused a large dent in the side of the car. The accused then picked up a porcelain dog ornament from another home on Superior Street and smashed this on the ground. Community Patrol Officers attended in the area. The accused was observed exiting a home on Port Street and was identified as the person responsible for the disturbance. Officers arrested the accused for uttering threats.
Michael Dustin ROBERTS-SKATER, 21 years of age of Brantford is charged with; Uttering Threats and Mischief under $5,000.00 X2. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
