Police are looking for information after a male was seriously injured following a home invasion in Oshawa.

On Sunday July 30, 2017, at approximately 10:20 p.m. members of Central East Division responded to an assist ambulance call in the area of Simcoe Street South and Wellington Avenue West in Oshawa. They arrived at a residence to find a male with several injures.

The victim, a 62-year-old male indicated the male suspect knocked at the door and then forced his way inside. The victim was assaulted and the suspect fled with some cash and personal property. Police do not believe this was a random attack and would like to speak to anyone with information. The victim remains in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
