Four men commit violent residential robbery in St. Catharines


On July 12, 2017, at approximately 12:10AM uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 1 District St. Catharines responded to a residence in the area of Crestdale Avenue and St. Julien Drive in St. Catharines.  Officers were called there for a report a violent residential robbery.

The victims in the apartment reported to officers that at approximately midnight a group of 4-5 males forced their way into the apartment.  Both of the victims were assaulted prior to the suspects fleeing the residence.  One of the suspects was armed with a knife.

An NRPS K9 Unit attended but was unable to locate the suspects.

The suspect description is limited, being described as 1 black male and 3-4 white males.

Police believe that the residence was targeted.

Detectives from the 1 District St. Catharines Criminal Investigation Branch and the Forensic Services Unit continue to investigate the matter.
