A male in attendance at court yesterday on Queen Street suffered a suspected overdose. Brantford Police Service Court Constable Officers observed the man in medical duress.
The Court Constables are trained to administer Naloxone, as are all of Brantford Police Service Officers. Naloxone is available to them for emergencies. Naloxone is an emergency medication that reverses the effects of an overdose from opioids such as fentanyl, heroin, methadone and morphine.
The male regained consciousness and he was taken to hospital by ambulance. He is expected to make a full recovery. No further information will be added regarding the individual and personal medical information.
