Man seeking companionship robbed at gunpoint after meeting woman online

On Monday July 24, 2017 just after 6:30 p.m. a male called 911 to report he had been robbed at gun point. Earlier in the day, the victim had sought out companionship from a woman found online from a personals advertisement forum. The victim, a 26 year old man was invited to an address on West Street by the woman (accused #1). The victim and woman were alone in the residence for a short time when a man (accused #2) entered the apartment. Accused #2 had a gun in his hand, pointed the gun at the victim and demanded the victim’s wallet. Accused #2 removed cash from the victim’s wallet and fled the apartment. The victim gathered his belongings and exited the apartment with the woman. Once outside, the woman (accused #1) fled on foot. The victim called 911.

On Tuesday, July 25 shortly before 8:00 a.m. a community Patrol Officer observed accused #1 walking near the intersection of Marlborough and West Street. Accused #1 was arrested without incident.  

 On Tuesday July 25, 2017 shortly after 5:30 p.m. Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit observed accused #2 sitting in a parked vehicle on West Street. Officers approached the vehicle and accused #2 was arrested without incident. 

 Accused #1, Nichole Lynn MCCAULEY, 23 years of age of Brantford is charged with the following offences; Robbery Using a Firearm and Breach of Probation.

 Accused #2, Zachary Michael HENDERSON, 27 years of age of Brantford is charged with the following offences; Robbery Using a Firearm and Breach of Recognizance.

 The accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.
