Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect wanted for robbing a convenience store in the City of Vaughan.  

On Saturday, January 7, 2017, at approximately 6:15 p.m., two suspects entered a convenience store located in the area of Martin Grove Road and Highway 7. One of the men was armed with a knife and demanded cash from the employee. The suspect obtained a small amount of cash from the register then fled on foot.

The employee was not physically injured.  

Investigators are releasing video surveillance from this incident and are asking anyone with information that can assist with identifying the suspect to contact police.

Suspect  #1:

• Male, black
• 6′ with a heavy build
• Wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a black toque, black sunglasses,

Suspect #2:

• Male, black
• 6′ with a heavy build
• Wearing jeans, a brown jacket, a grey toque and a dark bandanna covering his face

The investigation is ongoing.
