Port Hope man faces 10 drug trafficking charges following RIDE check

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a RIDE program and stopped a vehicle on Old Norwood Road yesterday morning shortly after 2:30am.

During the stop police seized drugs from inside the vehicle.

Berek Terence COX (age 32) of Port Hope, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Marihuana)
  • Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Ketamine)
  • Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Hashish)
  • Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Shatter)
  • Possession of a Schedule III controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Ritalin)
  • Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Speed)
  • Possession of a Schedule III controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Ecstasy)
  • Possession of a Schedule III controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Molly)
  • Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (Crystal Meth)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, Ontario on August 17, 2017.
