Recent series of Waterloo fires believed to be suspicious

Waterloo Regional Police are working with the Waterloo Fire Department and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal, investigating a recent series of fires in Waterloo. The fires are believed to be suspicious in nature and we are investigating the possibility that the fires may be linked.

Police are looking for the public’s assistance and ask that anyone with any information contact Waterloo Regional Police Service North Division Detectives at 519-653-7700, extension 6355, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.


On July 16, 2017, Emergency Services responded to a fire at a home under construction on Pinery Trail in Waterloo. The home was unoccupied at the time. The fire is currently being investigated by police and the Ontario Fire Marshal. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-653-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
