Sault Ste Marie woman who allegedly hit another woman with her vehicle faces charges

(BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON) –  On July 9, 2017, at approximately1:40 am Batchewana First Nation Police assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault complaint in the 2000 block of Mission Road.

The investigation revealed that a physical altercation occurred between two females at which point one of the females allegedly began driving a vehicle that struck another female at the scene.

As a result of police investigation 28-year-old Tiffany GARDNER of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Assault with a Weapon contrary to Section 267(a) CC

The accused was released on Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on August 14, 2017.
