The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
- a man volunteers at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 161 Annette Street
- he sexually assaulted four victims, between 12 and 21, at different times over the past year
- all assaults took place around church-related events
On Thursday, July 6, 2017, Phuoc Van, 64, of Toronto, was arrested. He was charged with:
1) four counts of Sexual Assault
2) two counts of Sexual Interference
3) Sexual Exploitation
He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday, July 7, 2017, 10 a.m., room 101.
