Suspects sought in robbery of a “John” on Draper Avenue in Ottawa

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the recent robbery of a “John” and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspects responsible.

On July 4, 2017, a male victim hired an escort from an internet site where such ads are posted. The victim met the female escort at an address on the 2600 block of Draper Avenue. Monies were paid in advance of services rendered. Afterward, the female demanded payment, suggesting she had not yet been paid. A call was then placed by the female and a male associate then attended the address. The victim was repeatedly assaulted, and the suspects then stole his cellular phone, as well as a number of items from the premises. The two suspects then left in a vehicle, possibly a dark-coloured Hyundai Elantra. The victim was transported to hospital for assessment and treatment.

The suspects are described as follows (images attached):

#1-Caucasian female, approximately 5’7” (170 cm), skinny build, with blonde/blue shoulder-length hair. She spoke English without an accent, and used the name/alias “Anastasia” in her online ad.

#2-Middle eastern male, approximately 5’9” (175 cm), skinny build, with black short hair. At the time he was unshaven, with black facial hair.
