Suspects still at large in unsolved jewellery store robbery case

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking assistance to identify two suspects wanted in an unsolved armed robbery investigation at a jewelry store in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.   

On Thursday, August 11, 2016, at approximately 10:20 a.m., police were called to a jewelry store located in the area of Main Street and Highway 48, for a report of a robbery. Two male suspects forced their way into the store, one armed with a handgun, tied up the victim and stole a quantity of jewelry. The victim was unharmed. The suspect left the store and fled the area in a dark-coloured pick-up truck.  

Suspect #1:

• Male, white
• With a beard
• Wearing a black t-shirt, shorts and a blue baseball hat
• Armed with handgun

• Male
• Wearing a yellow long-sleeve shirt with a white baseball hat
