A Timmins woman is facing a total of nine charges following a domestic dispute in Timmins on July 26, 2017.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., police were called to the City’s South end regarding a dispute. Reports indicated that the accused had allegedly entered a residence, causing damage to the residence, and physically assaulting her former partner and another individual in the residence. Information received by police also revealed an alleged assault with an edged weapon by the accused and threats being made against the two victims.
Further investigation indicated that the accused was bound by a recognizance as well as a probation order, with conditions not to annoy, harass, molest or physically interfere with the victim and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
As a result of this incident, a 22-year-old Timmins woman faces nine counts including Assault with a Weapon x2, Assault x2, Uttering Threats, Mischief Under $5000, Fail to comply with Recognizance, and Fail to Comply with Probation x2. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for today, July 27, 2017.
Due to the domestic nature of the incident, as per the Timmins Police Service’s standard practice, the name of the accused cannot be published to avoid identifying the victim.
