Two charged and named after Toronto man stabbed to death in Bolton


On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 2:33 am, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the corner of Highway 50 and Ellwood Drive in Bolton for a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived on scene to find a male suffering obvious trauma. The male was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Alexander LEMON, 36, of Toronto.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and four (4) persons, two (2) male and two (2) female, were involved in a physical altercation. It has since been discovered only two (2) individuals were involved in the death of the victim.

Connor G SHARPE, 21 yrs, and Venezia Pia Caterina MAGGIORE, 22 yrs, both of Bolton, ON have been charged with Second Degree Murder. The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 31, 2017.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the OPP Caledon Detachment Major Crime Unit, OPP Central Region Support Team, OPP Central Region Forensic Identification Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, and the OPP Canine Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Martin Graham of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
