Two steal prescription drugs in armed pharmacy robbery

On Monday July 24th, 2017 shortly after 2:00 AM, Hamilton Police officers responded to a robbery that just occurred at the Shopper Drug Mart located at 270 Mud Street West, within the City of Hamilton.

It was indicated that two men entered the store with their faces covered while making demands for prescription drugs.  Both of the suspects were armed with weapons and ordered the staff to the ground. The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs before they fled the area.

The victims did not sustain any injuries

The two suspects are described as the following:

Suspect One: male, brown skin, with dark eyes, 5’9″, medium build and about 30-35 years of age. Wearing black pants, dark shoes, black hoodie, black baseball hat, dark coloured balaclava, and black gloves.  He was carrying a weapon in his right hand

Suspect Two: male, 5’10” tall, with a thin build. Wearing jeans, light coloured long sleeve shirt, toque and dark gloves.  He was carrying a weapon in his right hand. 

It is important for the community to know the dangers of taking unknown amounts of prescription drugs that is not prescribed by a physician can be fatal.
