Victim in Bolton murder identified, 3 people in custody one is still wanted


On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 2:33 am, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the corner of Highway 50 and Ellwood Drive in Bolton for a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived on scene to find a male suffering obvious trauma. The male was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Alexander LEMON, 36, of Toronto.

A post mortem is scheduled to be conducted July 30, 2017 in Toronto.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the OPP Caledon Detachment Major Crime Unit, OPP Central Region Support Team, OPP Central Region Forensic Identification Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, and the OPP Canine Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Martin Graham of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Preliminary investigation reveals the victim and four (4) persons, two (2) male and two (2) female, were involved in a physical altercation Officers currently have two males and one female in custody and are actively looking for the outstanding female involved.

Further information will be released as it becomes available.

Police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to public safety as a result of this incident.
