On July 25, 2017, members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to the Georgetown Marketplace for a complaint of a female attempting to enter vehicles.
In the course of investigating the female, she became violent and assaulted three officers as they attempted to arrest her. She also refused to identify herself to police when requested to do so.
The female’s disruptive behaviour continued while being transported to the station and damage was sustained to the police cruiser in which she was a passenger.
Once at the station, the female continued to refuse to identify herself. She was initially held over for a bail hearing on July 26, 2017 on the charges detailed below until she could be identified.
Ivonne, McKee, 34 years, of no fixed address, has been charged with Assault Peace Officer (3 counts), Resist Arrest, Mischief Under $5,000 and Obstruct Police. McKee is next scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on July 27, 2017.
