Woman escapes would-be abductors at cemetery

On Thursday, July 20, 2017, Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a woman being approached by two men in a minivan at Woodland Cemetery in Kitchener.

The victim, a 19-year-old female, reported that she was at the Cemetery’s entrance around 5 p.m. when two men approached her in a beige van. The passenger exited the vehicle and grabbed her arm. The woman was able to pull away and flee to a nearby business. No one was injured. The vehicle took off, heading west on Weber Street East.

The suspects are described as male, brown skin, in their 40s with dark hair and light facial hair.
