On Thursday August 17th, 2017 shortly after 7:00 PM, a 67 year old Hamilton man was operating a black Toyota Corolla eastbound on Wilson Street between Montgomery Drive and Lower Lions Club Road, in Ancaster.  At that time he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a white Toyota Corolla which was driven by a 59 year old male from Hamilton. The motor vehicle being driven by the 67 year old male continued into oncoming traffic and struck a pick-up truck head on. That vehicle was being operated by a 56 year old male Hamilton resident.

The 67 year old male was transported to hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently in critical but stable condition. The pick-up truck driver was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The third driver was not injured.

The identity of all three drivers is not being released at this time, until next of kin for all parties have been notified.

Alcohol is not considered a contributing factor in this collision.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate.
