Argument leads to shots fired at vehicle, Two Orangeville men facing multiple weapons charges

The Orangeville Police Service has arrested and charged a 27-year-old Orangeville man and a 20 year old Orangeville man with a variety of weapons charges as the result of an altercation in Orangeville on Monday afternoon.

On Monday July 31st, 2017, at approximately 4:11 p.m. a verbal altercation escalated to a firearm being discharged into the side of a motor vehicle. Suspects fled the scene but through investigation they were located and arrested. The cause of this altercation will be determined through witness interviews. No injuries resulted from this altercation that took place in the area of highways 9 and 10.

Brandon Andre Omardeen, 27 of Orangeville was charged with:
• Pointing a Firearm,
• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose,
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
• Discharge Firearm with Intent,
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm,
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order, and
• Fail to Comply with Recognizance.

Stefon Dwayne Jaggernauth, 20 of Orangeville was charged with:
• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose,
• Unauthorized Possession of Weapon, and
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana.

Both males were held in custody pending a bail hearing regarding the allegations.
