Caledon OPP thank Bolton residents for help in homicide investigation


On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at approximately 2:33 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the corner of Highway 50 and Ellwood Drive in Bolton for a report of a stabbing.

Officers arrived on scene to find a male suffering obvious trauma. The male was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Alexander LEMON, 36, of Toronto.

Connor G SHARPE, 21, of Bolton has been charged with Second Degree Murder. Further, Venezia Pia Caterina MAGGIORE, 22, of Bolton has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

Members of the Caledon OPP would like to thank the residents of Bolton for information received which aided police in locating what they believe to be the knife involved in this homicide.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the OPP Caledon Detachment Major Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Martin Graham of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
