On Wednesday August 9, 2017 at approximately 8:50am a 9 year old male was crossing Grange Road at Watson Parkway North.  He was riding his bicycle in the crosswalk facing a green traffic signal.

As he entered the crosswalk he was struck by a Honda CRV that was travelling westbound on Grange Road and is alleged to have disobeyed a red traffic signal at Watson Parkway North.

The child sustained abrasions to his legs but did not require transport to hospital. His bicycle was also damaged by the impact.

A 70 year old Guelph female has been charged with Red Light-Fail to Stop and will be appearing in Guelph Provincial Offences Court in October.
