Dispute over parking space leads to remarks about religion and assault

Police seek public's assistance in identifying man in assault investigation.

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in an assault investigation.

On Monday, July 24, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., police responded to a radio call for an assault in a parking lot, in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area.

It is reported that:

  • two men were in a dispute over a parking space
  • one man made unwelcome remarks about the other man’s religion and assaulted him

The man is described as 30-35 years old, with short dark hair and a full black beard. He was wearing a dark navy jacket.
