Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witness to a multi-vehicle collision where the at-fault vehicle fled prior to police arrival.

On August 23, 2017, at approximately 6:10 a.m., a black Dodge Caravan was travelling northbound on Airport Road south of Coventry Road in the City of Brampton.  The Caravan was rear-ended by an unknown vehicle causing the Caravan to cross over the center median into the south bound lanes of Airport Road.  The Caravan then collided with a black Honda Accord, and a black Acura MDX.  A black Ford F150 pick-up truck was also struck.

The driver of the suspect vehicle failed to remain at the collision and continued northbound on Airport Road.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Honda Accord, a 52 year old male from Brampton, was transported to a Toronto Trauma Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.  The other involved drivers were all transported to local hospital with minor injuries.

Evidence recovered at the scene have led investigators to believe that the suspect vehicle may be blue in colour.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses who may have witnessed the collision, have dashboard video footage of the incident, or who may have information regarding the actions of any involved vehicles prior to, or after the collision.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators with the Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3710.
