Fire deemed suspicious after causing extensive damage to theatre

Just after 10:00 PM, on Wednesday August 9th, 2017, police and fire were called to the Georgetown Little Theatre located on Stewarttown Road in Georgetown.  When they arrived they discovered that there had been a break and enter to the theatre with an active fire inside.

The Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire but not before the theatre suffered extensive damage.  Police and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office are investigating this as a suspicious fire and are appealing to the public for any information in relation to this incident.
