A 21-year-old Brampton male and a 23-year-old male visiting from Jamaica were seriously injured as result of a motor vehicle collision in Uxbridge.
On Friday August 11, 2017, at approximately 2:48 p.m., officers from North Division were called to Lake Ridge Road and Davis Drive for a report of a two vehicle collision. A blue transport truck drawing a fully loaded trailer was southbound on Lake Ridge Road at Davis Drive when it collided with silver Volkswagen Jetta. The Volkswagen Jetta sustained extensive damage as a result of the collision and left the roadway.
The 23-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen Jetta was airlifted to St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto with serious life threatening injuries. The 21-year-old passenger was transported by land ambulance to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto with serious life threatening injuries. Both males remain in stable condition. The driver of the transport truck was uninjured in the collision.
Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
