1.   Guelph Police Bicycle Tires Slashed

On August 12th, 2017, at approximately 7:25 PM, Guelph Police “H.E.A.T” officers responded to a call for service at an address on Carden Street Guelph. While officers were dealing with the call, an unknown party(s) slashed both the tires on the two Guelph Police Bikes that the officers rode to the call.

2.   Two concerned citizens call Guelph Police regarding possible Impaired Drivers.

On August 11th, 2017 at 8:45 PM, a concerned citizen contacted the Guelph Police about a possible impaired driver on Silvercreek Parkway North, Guelph. An officer located the vehicle and the driver was arrested for Impaired Driving.

Jason HEANEY 34 years of Guelph was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80 and will appear in court in August.

On August 12th, 2017 at 9:35 PM, a concerned citizen contacted the Guelph Police about a possible impaired driver on Ferguson Street Guelph. Officer located the vehicle and the driver was arrested for Impaired Driving. A search incident to arrest revealed that the driver was in possession of a small quantity of drugs and a small explosive disc used for target shooting and was charged accordingly.

Tyler STROBBE 25 years of Guelph was charged with Impaired Operation (by drug) of a Motor Vehicle,  two counts of Possess Explosive Substance Contrary to Prohibition Order,  Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drive while Suspended. He was held for a bail hearing.  

3.   Guelph Police responded to a report of a suspicious male.

On August 14th, 2017 at 1:17 AM, Guelph Police were dispatched to the Victor Davis Rec Centre on Victoria Road East Guelph with regard to a suspicious male.  Officers attended and located the male.  A records search revealed that he was currently wanted for Theft under $5000 and he was arrested.

John LAHEY 46 years of Guelph was charged with Theft under $5000.00 and will appear in court in September.
