On August 25th, the owner of 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck reported the vehicle stolen when it was left running outside of a local Tim Hortons.
At approximately 12:30am today, police responded to information regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of Delaware Avenue and arrived to find this reported stolen pickup running with a male inside. When the male saw police approaching, he got out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. He was quickly arrested.
A 34 year old Guelph man is charged theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon (knife), and fail to comply with probation and an undertaking. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
