Your Orangeville Police Service has charged a 58-year-old Guelph woman after she was clocked traveling more than twice the posted speed limit on B Line Friday morning.

On Friday, August 25, 2017, an Orangeville police officer was conducting traffic enforcement on B Line near Hunter Road. This area is a posted 60km/h zone and police receive many complaints regarding the excessive speeds of vehicles traveling on the road.

At approximately 8:30am, police observed a blue Subaru Impreza traveling south. The officer’s radar unit clocked the vehicle traveling at a speed of 128km/h. The vehicle was directed to stop and the female driver was served a summons for the charge of Stunt Driving- Speeding by more than 50km/h over the posted speed limit.

In addition to the charge, the woman’s driver’s license was automatically suspended for 7 days and her vehicle was seized and impounded for 7 days.

The woman is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville on September 27th to answer to the allegations.
