The Hamilton Police Homicide Unit has been actively investigating the homicide of Michael Parmer which occurred on September 9th, 2005. With the twelve year anniversary of this murder approaching, Homicide Detectives are requesting the assistance of the public to bring this cold case murder investigation to a successful conclusion.
On Friday September 9th, 2005, shortly after 3:00am, Hamilton Police responded to a shooting at the northeast parking lot at Roxborough Avenue and Ottawa Street North, Hamilton. This location was near the now defunct “CD’s” bar in the city’s east end. The victim of the shooting, Michael Parmer, 22 years at the time, succumbed to his injuries and died approximately 12 hours later. Homicide Detectives have interviewed numerous people and have viewed numerous security videos from the time this homicide occurred. This has resulted in investigators becoming aware that there are people in our community who have knowledge as to who is responsible for this senseless crime.
Detectives believe that two males and a female were directly involved:
Description of suspects:
1. Male, black, early 20s, 6’1” – 6’3”, 180-200 lbs, wearing dark clothing, possibly a hoodie type shirt.
2. Male, black, early 20s, 5’7” – 5’10”, 170 lbs, may have been wearing camouflage pants.
3. Female, white, younger, light coloured hair.
As the twelve (12) year anniversary of Michael Parmer’s murder approaches, Hamilton Police Service Homicide Detectives are appealing to the public for their help in solving this cold case homicide.
