A 40-year-old local woman who was drinking liquor and causing a disturbance was restrained by citizens after she assaulted two teenagers.

On August 29, 2017, at approximately 8:00 p.m. the accused was in the area of Princess Street and Bath Road. The accused was consuming a bottle of liquor while approaching people and yelling at them. When the accused approached a group of teenagers she punched one teen in the face and spit in the face of another. The accused continued to act aggressively and threatening while waving the bottle around until a group of witnesses knocked the bottle out of her hands and restrained her while police were called.

The accused was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.

The accused was charged with cause disturbance, two counts of assault, breach recognizance and breach probation.
