(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On August 23, 2017, at 8:15 p.m. members of the Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Lucan Biddulph Fire Department responded to a drowning at a residence in the township.

Investigators discovered that a 3-year-old boy had been located in the family pool. Family members and EMS were able to resuscitate the child who was subsequently transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The OPP are reminding homeowners with pools and open water on their property to always be extra vigilant to ensure everyone’s safety.  Though sometimes unthinkable tragedies occur, the OPP encourage everyone to do their part to prevent it from happening.
