Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested two males involved in the region’s 10th homicide of 2017.

On Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 2:40 a.m., Peel Regional Police responded to a shooting at an adult entertainment establishment located at 1820 Dundas Street East, Mississauga.  Officers arrived on scene and located a male suffering from gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim was identified as 27 year-old Raimzhan TOKHTABAYEV of Mississauga.

On Thursday, August 24, 2017, in the morning hours, Elias GIBB was arrested in his Toronto residence without incident by Peel Regional Police in relation to the murder of Mr. TOKHTABAYEV. 

On Thursday, August 24, 2017, in the evening hours, Christopher ANDERSON was arrested in the City of Mississauga without incident by Peel Regional Police in relation to the murder of Mr. TOKHTABAYEV. 

Elias GIBB, a 20 year-old from Toronto, has been charged with First Degree Murder and will appear in Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court House on Friday, August 25, 2017.

Christopher ANDERSON,  a 23 year-old male from Mississauga, has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder and will appear in Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court House on Friday, August 25, 2017.
