Man arrested after being caught recording video up woman’s skirt

Brent Atkins, 46, arrested in ongoing Voyeurism/Mischief investigation

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of an arrest in an ongoing Voyeurism/Mischief investigation.

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 3:16 p.m., officers responded to a call for a suspicious incident at Yorkdale Subway station.

It is alleged that:

  • a 27-year-old woman was walking up the stairs
  • she was followed very closely by a man acting strangely
  • she noticed the man’s phone was recording

It is further alleged that:

  • at 5:43 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was walking up the same stairs
  • she was followed closely by a man acting strangely
  • the man was seen pointing his phone up her skirt with the camera light on
  • officers located the man and arrested him

Brent Atkins, 46, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) two counts of Voyeurism
2) two counts of Mischief – Interfere with Property

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, September 21, 2017, 10 a.m., room 301.
